Lee-Sah
was AKC registered. She came from a long line of venerable champions.
Lhasa
Apsos were originally developed in Tibet centuries ago to be sentry
dogs in the monasteries. They patrolled the monastery grounds
alone and their loud, piercing barks easily attracted the attention
of everyone within hearing distance.
They
were also bred to look like "snow lions", so their primary
characteristic is a lot of hair.
For
serious, in-depth information regarding Lhasa Apsos and a thorough
history of the breed, the Kai-La-Sha
Web Site is a must-see. It is one of the best sources
of Lhasa Apso information on the Web.
